Honeycomb Happiness Birthday Card...

I saw this card made by Michelle Reynolds on Splitcoaststampers and thought it would be perfect for a workshop I recently designed for.  I changed up Michelle's card a bit - using a faux folded banner instead of a banner made with a die.  To make a faux banner like this, you just need the Banner punch and a 5/8" strip of paper as long as you want it.  Punch two banners out of the same color card stock as your strip.  Sponge the edges in the same color to give it depth.  Glue the banners to the back of the strip with a little bit exposed at the bottom to give the effect of a fold.  Super easy!

The "Happy Birthday" is from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set and is a part of one of the stamps.  We just used a marker to ink just the "Happy Birthday".

I embossed the Mint Macaron paper using the Confetti folder and then took some silver Encore ink and lightly brushed the raised portions.  The honeycomb balloon in only attached on one side for mailing.  A little note to the recipient that they can peel off the backing and press down the other side so their balloon stays open is all you need to provide them.  Finally, the little clouds?  They are the cupcake top from the Cupcake Builder punch and punched out of Post-It notes to create masks for sponging the background.
