Bird on a Branch...

I have seen several cards where either gold thread or linen thread have been used as an accent with the Best Birds and Bird & Blooms stamp set and dies.  I realized that the linen thread would make a perfect little nest for my bird.  Just take a long piece of linen thread and wrap it around three fingers and secure the ends and strands down to your card using some glue dots.  Place your bird down and then use another glue dot to gather the strands and the front and press them down in the center at the bottom of the bird.  Gently adjust the strands on the sides to form them into a nest.  Super easy!  This particular bird die does not have just an outline so I used my ScanNCut to cut the backing piece for the bird.

Here's a funny story - we made this card at a workshop back in June and several people couldn't bring themselves to cut off the legs of their bird!  I suggested they hide them behind the branch and that worked!
