Adios Perfect Peacock!

At this month's retiring class, we made this card.  So many retired items on this one!  As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I try to end the catalog year with as little of the outgoing In Color card stock as possible.  This year, I was very succesful!  In this card, we used the outgoing In Color markers to color the peacock.
When stamping a sentiment like this, if your colors share the same color base, like Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss in this card, you can easily use your Lost Lagoon ink pad to ink the entire stamp and use the Blackberry Bliss marker to just color the portions that you want in that color.  Super fast & easy!

The Wilderness Awaits & Vintage Leaves....

We had a lot of fun in class when we made these cards since everyone's cards ended up looking so much different!  I cut a bunch of leaves out of Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso cardstock using the Leaflets framelits and just let everyone select which stamp they wanted on each leaf.  They were then glued onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that had been stamped using some of the Vintage Leaves stamps and Crumb Cake ink.  Once the pieces were glued on, we ran them through the Big Shot using the Brick Wall embossing folder and ..... boring.  That is, until we took a sponge and began sponging the embossed edges and then.... wow!  Super cool!
