Tippin' on Tuesday with the Smooshed Cling Wrap Technique...

It's Tuesday and that means another episode of Tippin' on Tuesday!  I hope you enjoy today's card.

Patty Bennett recently did a video using the Bloomin' Love die and a sponging technique.  I loved the card and decided to make my own using a different technique which I am sharing with you today.  I call it the Smooshed Cling Wrap technique and is a quick and easy technique.  Clean up is a cinch too!  Just wad up the cling wrap and throw it away.  Also in the video, I show you the technique I used to get the crinkled ribbon.

Bloomin' Love for Valentine's Day

Here is a card that I made for a recent workshop.  I wanted a Valentine's Day card but just didn't want a standard card.  So then I thought I would do a gate fold card.  Hmm, what about turning it sideways and offset it a little?  The size of the heart die worked perfectly in the top section.  Since I hadn't purchased the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack yet, I went looking for something that would work and found these cute little hearts in the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper in the annual catalog - perfect!  I thought it would be fun to take the "you" from the Hello You dies and pair it with the Little Letters for the "love".

So as you are looking at the card, are you wondering how I got the little Real Red scalloped strip?  Take a look below at the Product List -- do you see it yet?  I used one side of the larges die from the Squares Collection dies!
Here is the inside of the card where I took the BE MINE stamp and just inked the "BE" and combined it with the "My Valentine".

Valentine Card Using Rose Garden Die and Bloomin' Love Stamp Set

I have probably shared this with you before but if you missed it, here is a little tip for you.  When using vellum, do you struggle with what adhesive to use so it doesn't show?  So what adhesive do you think I used?  Glue dots!  Don't see them?  Of course not, they are hiding behind all those little gold hearts.  Pretty smart, huh?  I didn't even have to put them behind all of them - just the ones around the outside.

Here's a tip for your Rose Garden die - save the left over pieces when you cut it out, especially if you are using glimmer paper.  As you can see with this card, I saved the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer pieces and used them inside a Red Glimmer rose and used the Red Glimmer pieces inside the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer rose.  Nothing wasted!
