Moon Lake Stamp Set....

Here is a card that I made for my recent Moon Lake class.  The plaid paper is from the Adventure Bound paper pack in the Occasions catalog.  This paper pack is so different than anything that Stampin' Up! has offered before - it has several pieces that are more like a photograph than a pattern.  The added bonus is they work awesome for masculine cards which we are always looking for, right?
As you know, I always finish out the inside of my cards and here's what I did for this card.  Here is a list of the colors of markers that I used to color the images - Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Island Indigo and Hello Honey.

Moon Lake Class Cards...

Back in February, I held a Moon Lake class where attendees received this stamp set as part of their class fee and made four projects.  This card was CASE'd from my wonderful upline Stella MacKay.  Thanks Stella!  The coloring was done using the blendabilities but certainly can be done using inks and a blender pen or aqua painter.  I also dug out the little wooden leaf accents from last fall's holiday catalog.  I felt they worked perfectly with this card.

Sale-a-Bration is over until next year but.....

Here's one last card showing a Sale-A-Bration item - the Irresistibly Yours DSP.  This card was inspired by Ceal Pritchett.  We took sponge daubers and colored the polka dot Irresistibly Yours sheet using Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry in small sections.  A 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White was cut using the Butterflies die.  The polka dot paper was attached to the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Calypso Coral in just the right spot so it would show through the Whisper White piece which was stamped and then attached using dimensionals.  The butterfly was then glued down to the polka dot paper.  Run your fingernail around the edge of the cut butterfly to allow the recessing show.  We trimmed three of the pom poms and attached them using glue dots.
On the inside, we sponged the Papillon Potpourri  butterflies using the same colors and stamped them along with the sentiment.
