Tippin' on Tuesday - The New Catalog Ideas Begin NOW!

Stampin' Up!'s 2017-2018 annual catalog goes live on Thursday and we are celebrating early!  It may not be your birthday but here's a fun card for you to make to celebrate other special occasions (like a birthday).  I haven't seen anyone else doing this card and it is one that I learned last year at Sacramento's Scrapbook Expo.  I thought it may be a bit difficult but, like the Merry Mice Twisted Pop Up card I videotaped last fall, it really isn't hard once you know what to do.
Is this not adorable?  When you hold the card in your right hand and pull on the ribbon with your left hand, both the left side AND right side both move out together.  Who wouldn't want a birthday card that looks like this?

I would love to be your Demonstrator if you don't already have one.  You can order from me if you live anywhere in the United States.  When setting up your account, please do not check the box where it says I cannot contact you - I want to be able to thank you properly when you place an order!  If you check the box, all I know is "No Contact" placed an order and I can't thank you.

At the time that I created this post, TAMS had not added all of the products for the annual catalog to their list so I was unable to list all of the product with links.  However, here is a list of the items used:

  • Birthday Delivery Stamp Set
  • So Saffron 12x12 Cardstock
  • Pacific Point 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Clear Medium Envelope
  • Pacific Point Classic Ink Pad
  • Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies
  • Tear & Tape
  • Dimensionals

Fast & Fabulous on Friday - A Little of Both Retiring and Carry Over Stamps

Happy Friday to you!  Out with the old and in with the new, right?  Well, not entirely as some old is carrying over to the new catalog.  The Flower Shop stamp set, Pansy punch, Layering Circles dies, Stitched Shapes dies and the 1/8" Gold ribbon are all carrying over (as well as all of the cardstock used) but we are saying goodbye to the Suite Sayings stamp set, Petite Petals stamp set, Petite Petals punch, In Color Enamel Dots and Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper are all going away next Thursday.  I thought it would be fun to make a card using some retiring and some staying and I think this card fits the bill perfectly.

Tippin' On Tuesday - One Last Shaker Card Using the Balloon Adventures Set & Dies

I am really going to miss this stamp set and dies when they retire at the end of the month.  Ah heck, I am going to miss working with a lot of Stampin' Up!'s retiring products!  Why?  Because they are so AWESOME!  The only consolation is that there are so many cool products in the new catalog to play with.  How about you?  I love a card that works for women, men or children and this card sure fits that.  It can be used for anyone!

What's in the Box? A First Look at Products from Stampin' Up!'s 2017-2018 Annual Catalog

One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the ability to get my hands on some of the product from an upcoming catalog before it goes live.  Approximately one month prior to the catalog going live, demonstrators are allowed to order from a selected group of products.  Isn't that cool?  Want to do that yourself?  Just click on the Want to Save 20%? tab on my blog to find out more.

I am excited to see the new products in Stampin' Up!'s annual catalog.  How about you?  Well, click on the video or the link to the video and sit back while I open my preorder box - I haven't even seen everything that is inside!  I will also show you the products that I received while attending Stampin' Up!'s recent Onstage Local event.

I Just Love the Succulent Framelit Dies by Stampin' Up!

This was a stamp set and dies that were not on my wish list when I first received my Occasions catalog.  After seeing some adorable cards made with it, I thought that I would purchase just the stamp set.  But that extra savings on the bundle pricing was so attractive that I ended up purchasing both the set and dies at the bundle price.  Boy, am I glad that I did!

I had a "retiring product" card class scheduled for May but the combination of a local craft store going out of business and having frames, chalkboards and notepads on sale for 70%-80% off and the fact that I fell in love with making these succulents, I decided to change the class up and make these projects.  The attendees had so much fun making them and I wanted to share them with you.

I picked up enough chalkboards to also create these as gifts for my upline Stella MacKay's Stampers for Others  team who attended OnStage Local with me in San Diego.

While the designer series paper is no longer available for this Succulent Garden Suite, I hope that you got some when it was available and that this post inspires you to create some fun projects of your own.  If you haven't ordered the stamp set and/or dies yet, they are on sale but may sell out at any time so act fast!
