Making Snow Angels....

When looking for inspiration for a card at a recent Christmas Card Buffet, I found this adorable card from Michelle Zindorf of the little eskimo making snow angels.  So cute!  Of course, I didn't want to duplicate Michelle's wonderful card exactly so I gave it the old "Cathy spin".  To make a template for your snow angel, just stamp the eskimo onto a piece of window sheet/acetate and draw where you want the angel wings and legs to expand out to.  Then just cut that out and use a sponge to ink the area on your card.

Sending a Little Christmas Magic Your Way...

I just love this stamp set and with my Scan N Cut cutting out these images is super easy!  When making this fun fold card, make sure that you don't put a dimensional in the bottom left of your sentiment circle on the front.  You want that area to allow the corner of the left flap to fit right in there.  Also, on the left flap piece, fold along the score line and glue to the INSIDE of your card.  Your Very Vanilla piece will hide the seam and the back of your card will not have anything showing.  Note:  I used the Real Red marker instead of the Cherry Cobbler marker because I really wanted the red to stand out.  The dimensions for making this card are:

Cherry Cobbler:  5 1/2" x 7" - Scored at 4 1/4"
Cherry Cobbler Flap:  2 3/4" x 2 3/4" - Scored at 1/2" on one side
Very Vanilla Inside:  4" x 5 1/4"
Garden Green Mats:  5 1/4" x 2 1/2"  &  2 1/4" x 2 1/2"
Patterned Paper Mats:  5" x 2 1/4"  & 2" x 2 1/4"

Star of Light...And a Happy Thanksgiving to You!

There are so many beautiful variations of stars that you can make with this stamp set and thinlet dies.  For this card, I used the framelit which leaves score lines so you can fold it to be three dimensional.  My tip if you are trying this with vellum is to just begin by squeezing the fold lines at the tips of the of the star.  Then fold the intersecting "V's".  This way allows it to pop up but you don't get the white clouding you get along the fold line if you fold it completely.  Some gold embossing powder for the spray behind really sets it off.  To keep the star's shape, stack three dimensionals in the center and place on your card.
