Happy to Say It is Staying Around....

Today's card is using the Country Home stamp set as well as the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.  While the paper is retiring in a few days (January 2, 2019), the Country Home stamp set is being carried over and I couldn't be happier.  I just love this stamp set.  I made this card for a workshop some time ago and just haven't had a chance to post it here with all the Christmas cards I wanted to share with you over the past couple of months.  Finally, here it is!  This is a great set for working with the Blends markers.

Here's a tip for this stamp set.  When stamping the milk jug or pitcher with the flowers/plants together, stamp the flowers/plants first.  It is much easier to line up this way - at least I think so!
It is difficult to see in the picture of the inside of the card but I stamped the plants on the Whisper White insert and colored the cat tails, berries & sprigs.  The leaves and artichoke were stamped on a piece of scrap white and cut out.  I then raised them up using Dimensionals.  It gave it a great depth.

Have Yourself a Stylish Christmas....

This was a card we made way back in August at my Delightfully Detailed Designer Series Paper class.  I had hoped to get a video together to show you how I created the card but never seemed to get it done.  In any event, I will describe it here.  I found that one portion of one of the sheets from the papers reminded me of a poinsettia.  I actually laid the designer paper over a piece of Whisper White as a mask and using a sponge dauber and Shaded Spruce ink created the background.  Didn't it turn out beautiful?  I then used the poinsettia from the Stylish Christmas stamp set for the focal piece.

On the inside of the card,  I used a piece of washi tape to mask off the bottom area so I could ink up the poinsettia pattern again.  I then used one of the strips from the Delightfully Detailed Designer Series Paper and colored it with Real Red ink to edge the top of the masked section.

Christmas Among the Trees....

This card was inspired by a card from another demonstrator on the Demonstrator Planning Place.  I loved the simplicity of the card but how it just spoke to me.  I love the pencil line drawing of these trees and the technique of stamping off gives a dimensional look to the trees.  This stamp set, which coordinates with the Timeless Tidings Project kit, is versatile so you don't need the kit to get some beautiful cards from it.

Here's a little tip for you - Cut your paper a bit larger (approximately 1/8") than you want the finished piece because the corrugated embossing folder does eat up a bit of the length.

Wishing You Peace on Earth.....

I fell in love with this Stylish Christmas stamp set from the annual catalog the minute I saw it and this card was inspired by one made by Bonnie Montgomery.  I love the Copper shimmer paint snowflake accents and the Faceted Gem colored with the Real Red Blends marker.

Santa's Checking His List....Does He Have Yours?

What's on your Christmas wish list?  Some years it seems like I can recite off all kinds of things that I want and other years I can't.  This year is just one of those years - I hope Santa is clever enough this year to figure out something because I certainly can't!  Last year he brought me a commercial size guillotine cutter which has been such a life saver this past year with events and class preparation.

This card was CASE'D from my friend Lela Meinke and uses the Signs of Santa stamp set.  I loved the simplicity of it.  With the Pool Party piece embossed with the Swirls & Curls folder and then spritzed using the Champagne Mist shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol, this card just sparkles!

Revisiting an Old Set of Dies & a New Punch

I am so happy that Stampin' Up! offers holiday product year round - in this case, the Pretty Pines thinlets carried over from last year and they introduced the Under the Mistletoe designer series paper which I have used quite a bit this season.  I added the Gold foil pieces using the Sprig punch which was offered in this year's catalog.  A little bit of everything.

I also like unique folding cards.  This card is basically a gate fold card with a 1/2" cut off of each "gate" piece.  Just remember to put adhesive at just the top of your Scallop circle - ask me why I am reminding you of this!  Ha ha!

A Return of Seasonal Chums....

This is another card that was inspired by a demonstrator on Demonstrator Planning Place but unfortunately she didn't have a watermark on her card so I can give full credit.  Have you ordered the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper?  It is so gorgeous!  The shimmer on the patterns is amazing.  For this card I went back to a stamp set that was first offered last year - Seasonal Chums.  This is such a versatile set as you can make them into little tags or just stamp one half of the stamp and get either the front or back of the images.

Merry Christmas with Under the Mistletoe....

This is one of my favorite cards that we made at the NorCal Stampin' Event in August.  It uses the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.  Here is a tip - when making this card, the front matting piece can be made using the portion of the Real Red piece that you trimmed from the card front (turned sideways).  Make sure to stamp your inside sentiment where it can be hidden behind your matting piece.

Candy Cane Christmas....

Inspired by a card I saw on the Demonstrator Planning Place closed Facebook group, this was a card I made for a recent Christmas Card Buffet.  The Planning Place is a closed group for Stampin' Up! demonstrators and a place to ask questions and get inspiration from others.  Join my team and you will be included in the group and see the creations by demonstrators worldwide.

This card was a quick and easy one - except lining up the outside line of the candy cane and the inside portion but the Stamparatus to the rescue!  With the Stamparatus, we were guaranteed to get a perfect stamping every time.  Don't have your Stamparatus yet, why not?  It will save you time and save you from discarding cardstock where your images didn't line up properly.

Available tomorrow is the new Stamparatus bag to keep your Stamparatus and accessories together in one place - so cool!  They even made it easy to order the bag and the Stamparatus under one item number (#151961).  The bag will retail for $29 and the bag & Stamparatus together will retail for $78.  I love that Stampin' Up! is offering us storage solutions for our products, don't you?
