Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set - Week 3 in the 4 Week Series

Today's card is the third in my Picture Perfect Birthday 4 week series.  I hope you are enjoying the cards.  Notice the little Bermuda Bay pieces?  I decided to give the card a little different look than a traditional matting and I think it turned out nicely.

Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set - Week 2 in the 4 Week Series

Here is the second card in the Picture Perfect Birthday four week series.  This card is CASE'd from Trayce Bauer who created it in a swap that I participated in  I just loved it so I had to do my own.  See below for Trayce's actual card front.
Here is the inside of my card.
And here is Trayce's original card.  So cute!  Thanks Trayce.

Tippin' on Tuesday - Having Fun with Brushos...

I saw this technique and thought I wanted to play with it too.  This card was created by sprinkling the Brushos watercolor powders onto the Layered Leaves embossing folder and spritzing it.  Check out my video to see how it is done!

Tippin' On Tuesday - Technique Class - Embossing Double Sided Adhesive Die Cuts...

Do you have some really cool die cuts and want to highlight them on your card but just cutting them out using card stock just seems so boring?  Here is a great technique - cut them out using Stampin' Up!'s double sided adhesive sheets.  Check out my video to see this technique in action as well as how I created the background for this card.

Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set - Week 1 in the 4 Week Series

This card is the first in a four week series of videos that I did from a recent class but I didn't get a chance to get it on here so here is the first one - a little over a week late.  The silver lining (maybe?) is that I have two to catch up so you will have several Fast & Fabulous on Friday cards and videos this next week.

The four week series covers cards made with the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set, the coordinating designer series paper and the Berry Burst Metallic ribbon.  In this week's video, I show you how to mark your stamps so the bow is easier to identify how to stamp.  A helpful hint is that it is much easier to line up if you stamp the darker color first.

Something Had To Give.....

Sometimes in life, something just has to give.  In my case, these past few months, blogging and videotaping was it.  I am 57 years old (yikes!) which means that my mother is in her 80's and my mother-in-law is 90.  Last October, my mother-in-law and father-in-law decided it was time to move from their home with a pool to an independent living apartment.  What that meant for me is assisting in the downsizing process.  Which led to my mother deciding to do the same within one month.  We got her moved and looked back at a house full of 30 years of collecting.  Not exactly hoarding but wow, she had a lot of stuff.  January and February were filled with preparing for two garage sales, a huge load to Salvation Army and selling of an incredible amount of stuff on eBay.  March was taken up getting the house ready to rent and family members moved in at the end of March.  Whew!

Here we are in April and I am finally back where I have the time to share with you here and on my YouTube channel.  I have missed you and sharing inspiration with you.  So please accept my apologies for having been missing in action but as I said, something had to give!

Back in January and February, I held a technique class for two groups.  Today's card is one of the cards created that day.  The video was uploaded awhile ago but I didn't get a chance to share it here so I am doing so today.

This card using the Half Full, Birthday Wit and Tuscan Vineyard stamp sets.  In the video, I show a tip on an easy way to get your stamps in a straight line like the flourishes in this card.  I also show a technique of creating marks for coloring small areas using sponge daubers.  In this card, the coloring was done to the grapes, leaves and wine glasses.
