Tis the Season to Celebrate....

Inspired by a card made by Zoe Tant, a Stampin' Up demonstrator in the UK, we made this card at my recent Christmas Card Buffet.  This is a "no stamping" card - ok, on the inside which I forgot to photograph, we did stamp a sentiment but on the outside, there was no stamping!  I used the Joyous Noel glimmer paper and the Celebrate You dies as well as the All Is Bright designer series paper.  I really love these photographic papers!

Got Some Extra Rhinestones?......

This card was inspired by one that Mary Middendorf created.  I loved how the little penguins from the Making Every Day Bright stamp set were sitting in the snow with their little knit caps on.  I used the Tufted embossing folder and then lots and lots of little rhinestones!  I paired the Christmas Traditions stamp set from the Christmas Traditions punch box with the punch from the Darling Label Punch box so show the versatility of these stamp sets and the punches.  The galvanized foil sheet was cut using the stitched shapes dies.

Looking for Signs of Santa....

Signs of Santa is one of my favorite stamp sets from this year's holiday catalog and the coordinating designer series paper is incredible.  If the items that are no longer available is any indication, everyone else has fallen in love with this suite as well.  The enamels and Memories & More pack are gone but you can still get the stamp set, dies and designer series paper.  Do you have an electronic cutter?  This paper is perfect for cutting out images!

Snow is Glistening....

Have you taken advantage of this limited time offering and purchased the Snow is Glistening stamp set and coordinating dies?  Oh my gosh, it is one of my favorites this season!  Have you tried combining Mint Macaron and Pool Party?  I love this combination for this type of card - oh, and with a bit of sparkle with Wink of Stella.

The products will only be available for another week so act soon.  At right now is the perfect time as Online Extravaganza is going on and you can get products from the Annual Catalog at 10% off over the next six days.  Go over to my store and check out what is on sale now.

Someone asked about a video for this card but I haven't done one for it.  I thought I would give a little more information here that may help in recreating it.

Card is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in Mint Macaron
Matting is 4" x 5 1/4" in Pool Party - This is stamped using the Snow is Glistening stamp set using Mint Macaron ink.
The Whisper White piece is 2 3/4" x 4".  The snowflakes and tree are stamped using Mint Macaron ink.
The Joy & Snowflake were stamped in Mint Macaron ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut out using the Snowfall Thinlet dies.  The Snowflake Trinket was added as well as the Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon.  Finally, the tree was colored using the Wink of Stella.

Seasons Greetings with Hometown Greetings

I recently attended a stamping night at Mercedes Weber's home and we made this adorable card.  Do you have trouble with your adhesive showing behind your vellum?  Here is a great way to solve it.  The bottom of the vellum is adhered and the houses and snow hide it.  At the top, the white baker's twine holds it in place.  The Softly Falling embossing folder was used to give us the snow.

Wishing You a Merry Christmas....

Have you started on your Christmas cards or are you done yet?  I am about 50% done and have the goal of December 1 to have them completed.  I will let you know if I make it!
Life has been crazy and I have been derelict in posting so I need to catch you up with some holiday inspiration over the next few weeks.  I just returned from Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event and had a blast.  Look for an incredible promotion in January for signing up as a demonstrator - how would you like, not $125 of product but $175 worth of product for only $99?  Amazing, isn't it!  Also they will be offering this adorable tote as an option where you get that same $175 in product plus the tote for only $129.  And on top of that savings, Stampin' Up! pays the shipping on your kit!

Now, back to stamping.  Today's card uses the Detailed Deer Thinlets as well as the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.  When using detailed dies like the flourishes around the outside edges, make sure to adhere some of the Double Sided Adhesive Sheets before you cut them out.  It makes attaching them so much easier!  I coupled Silver Foil sheets and Silver Glimmer paper to make a bright & shiny holiday card.  Night of Navy ink and card stock make this almost a monochromatic look.  A circle of vellum behind the deer was added.

Let Heaven & Nature Sing & An Announcement Regarding Holiday Catalog Product...

Stampin' Up! announced yesterday that due to a glitch in their inventory control system, some items from the Holiday Catalog will run out as early as next week and most likely before the end of the catalog time on January 2.  I have posted the list below so you know to get these items before they sell out.  One of the items is the Thinlets that coordinate with the Winter Woods stamp set.  However we have been advised that this set and the thinlets will be carried over to the 2019-2020 annual catalog.  The only issue is that the 10% off of the bundle will not carry over to the annual catalog so if you wanted to get this bundle, do so as soon as you can.  Remember, if you use my host code on a purchase of $50 or more, I will send you a gift.

So let me share about this card now that the bad news has been delivered.  I created this card for a workshop back in September and of the three projects, this was my least favorite.  However, a large number of the attendees loved it so you just never know what resonates with someone!  We inked the stamp with Tranquil Tide ink and then using a sponge dauber, dabbed Gold Shimmer paint onto the stamp.  Then we stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock.  The picture doesn't really show the shimmer of the tree but it really looked beautiful.    The Christmas Traditions punch & stamp set were used for the sentiment on the front of the card.  I also punched a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and cut it in half horizontally to create a matting.  It was stamped again on scrap paper using Tranquil Tide and the little banner portion was fussy cut.  The pine cones were stamped and cut out using the Winter Woods set and dies and the Gold Foil boughs were cut using the Christmas Staircase dies.
