I had the pleasure of hosting the monthly downline meeting of the Stampers for Others group (Stella MacKay's wonderful downline group) since Stella was celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary. Happy Belated Anniversary Stella!!!
We had a very small group in March (just four of us) so I thought I would present everyone with a challenge. I pulled various items and gave everyone just 20 minutes to come up with a card. This idea came from an evening at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference where we were given a box of product and had to make cards just from what we were provided. Here's a list of what was in the box.
Awash with Flowers stamp set
In Color Ink Pads
In Color Card Stock
Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads
Subtles Glitter Brads
Pear Pizzazz & Poppy Parade ribbon
Whisper White cardstock
Finial Press & Elegant Lines embossing folders
Aqua Painter
Here's what everyone came up with - I like that everyone went in different directions:

Nothing Says Spring Like Daffodils!!!
Do you know someone like Jackie Topa? She is the demonstrator who takes our punches as they come and comes up with lots of different things to make from them. What vision she has! You can thank her for today's card which uses the Blossom Petals punch to make the daffodil. The outer petals are made with the large leaf portion of the punch and the center is made with the large petal piece folded in thirds. How clever! The sentiment comes from the Curly Cute stamp set. Keep the ideas flowing Jackie!!!

Happy Easter - Stampin' Up Style....
Do you remember when we were kids, we would get those sugar eggs at Easter that had little scenes inside them? It was always a struggle to decide whether to keep them or eat them! Now the thought of eating one is terrible! My thanks to Meredith Burnsed who designed this card and I CASE'd for a recent workshop. Here's another use for the multi-purpose adhesive sheets. I used it on the Whisper White egg and then placed it in my Dazzling Diamonds to get the effect of a sugar egg. The flowers were made using the Punch Potpourri hostess stamp set and the Boho Blossoms punch and the leaves were made from the Little Leaves die. The "Happy Easter" is from the Well Scripted set.

Stampin' Up!'s Countryside - Masculine card...
Today's card is from my upline's March group challenge. We were challenged to creating a masculine card with one 3 layers and one embellishment. Nothing says "masculine" like metal, right? I took heavy-duty aluminum foil and ran it through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. If you want to try this, just remember to cut it with your cutter BEFORE you use the embossing folder. If it needs trimming afterwards, you will need to use scissors; otherwise, it will tear. Also another little trick - I used the linen thread as my embellishment but didn't want the natural color so I took my Basic Black marker and colored it! Was that an "Ah ha" moment for you? You now have 48 colors of linen thread!

Technique Tuesday - Aged Tiles....
It's Tuesday again and that means a new technique for you! We did this technique at a recent workshop and it was a hit. It is a simple but effective technique. You just need to decide on your tile pattern before you get started. You will need:
For the actual technique, I used Crumb Cake ink and used Soft Suede and Early Espresso with the Elements of Style stamp set for my image. You will also need at least 4 post-it notes and a sponge or dauber.
First, stamp your image on your cardstock.
Next, determine the design of your tiles on a sheet of paper.
Beginning with the vertical lines, lay the post-in notes along the first line and sponge the Crumb Cake ink along the side of the post-it notes as well as the outside edges of the cardstock.
Next, place the post-its along the edge of the line you created by the sponging. Make sure that you see a sliver of the edge if you want a well-defined edge. Sponge along post-it notes and outside edges of the cardstock.
Continue to place post-it notes along the vertical lines that you designed on your scrap paper and sponge ink. Make sure to reverse the post-its to sponge opposite sides of lines.
Begin making the smaller perpendicular lines with post-it notes and sponging. Place an additional post-it note along the existing lines so that you don't sponge into the other areas. Remember to reverse the post-it notes each time so you get sponging on either side of the line.
Continue sponging until you have the lines that you designed on your scrap piece. You are now ready to create your card! Here's mine:
Let me know how you like this technique! See you back here next Tuesday for another technique! Also, do you have a technique you would like to see how it is done, let me know and you just might see it show up here on a Tuesday!

Stampin' Up!'s Sneak Peek Designer Series Paper
One of the benefits of being a demonstrator is getting selected product a month earlier than our customers so we can prepare for workshops. Here is another "Thank You" card for the upcoming Necessities Bag workshop I am doing using the designer series paper which will be in the main catalog in July but you can order now with a $20 order of other merchandise. It is one of my favorite papers ever! I used the Kind & Caring Thoughts stamp set (retired) for the sentiment and the Vintage Vogue set for the flowers and ivy.
