Technique Tuesday - Multi-Color Embossing Powders....

Today's technique highlights the new Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango embossing powders offered in the Summer Mini Catalog which are available now through August 31.  If you haven't seen the new Summer Mini Catalog, check out the link on the right side of my blog.  If you would like a hard copy, just get in touch with me and I will send you one.
 Here's what you will need:
Whisper White, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo Cardstock
Stampin' Up! Wild Wasabi embossing powder
Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo embossing powder
Stampin' Up! Tangerine Tango embossing powder
Embossing Buddy
VersaMark ink
Heat gun
Stamps of your choice - I used Fifth Avenue Floral, Build A Blossom for the leaves and Perfect Punches for the sentiment.
Using your VersaMark ink, stamp your image and sprinkle a little of the Tangerine Tango embossing powder in several locations on the image.
Next sprinkle several locations with the Melon Mambo embossing powder.
Finally, sprinkle with the Wild Wasabi embossing powder.  Pick up the piece and move it around until the colors adhere to all of the VersaMark ink.
Heat set with your heat gun.
Repeat with the large rose image using the Melon Mambo embossing powder.
Add the Tangerine Tango embossing powder.
Shake off excess and heat set.  You wan to be careful not to use too much embossing powder because they will end up mixed and will be wasted unless you like the color combination!
Next, I took an Aquapainter and the Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo ink pads and watercolored the rose image and then cut it out.
Here's my card.  I didn't take pictures of the embossing of the sentiment but it was embossed with the Tangerine Tango EP.  I really like the way this card came out.  I think I will be using this technique several more times.  Let me know what you do with them!
