Something Had To Give.....

Sometimes in life, something just has to give.  In my case, these past few months, blogging and videotaping was it.  I am 57 years old (yikes!) which means that my mother is in her 80's and my mother-in-law is 90.  Last October, my mother-in-law and father-in-law decided it was time to move from their home with a pool to an independent living apartment.  What that meant for me is assisting in the downsizing process.  Which led to my mother deciding to do the same within one month.  We got her moved and looked back at a house full of 30 years of collecting.  Not exactly hoarding but wow, she had a lot of stuff.  January and February were filled with preparing for two garage sales, a huge load to Salvation Army and selling of an incredible amount of stuff on eBay.  March was taken up getting the house ready to rent and family members moved in at the end of March.  Whew!

Here we are in April and I am finally back where I have the time to share with you here and on my YouTube channel.  I have missed you and sharing inspiration with you.  So please accept my apologies for having been missing in action but as I said, something had to give!

Back in January and February, I held a technique class for two groups.  Today's card is one of the cards created that day.  The video was uploaded awhile ago but I didn't get a chance to share it here so I am doing so today.

This card using the Half Full, Birthday Wit and Tuscan Vineyard stamp sets.  In the video, I show a tip on an easy way to get your stamps in a straight line like the flourishes in this card.  I also show a technique of creating marks for coloring small areas using sponge daubers.  In this card, the coloring was done to the grapes, leaves and wine glasses.
