Shh! This is My Personal Christmas Card This Year...

Remember yesterday I told you that the Wondrous Wreath stamp set was a favorite?  Well, this will prove it to you - this is the card that I sent out (with some differences) as my personal Christmas card this year.  I have been feverishly working away making just over 100 of these!  Okay, maybe it isn't a favorite after doing all of that.

To color the left side panel, the bottom inside corner and the wreath, I took a dauber using Cherry Cobbler ink and made a few "berries" on the paper after doing the embossing.   I then too a sponge and colored a little Soft Suede in areas and then colored in the rest of it using Mossy Meadow.

Are you wondering what the differences are between this card that we made at a recent workshop and my personal card?  On the front, I used a script "Merry Christmas" from the More Merry Messages stamp set (retired) and on the inside of the card, I embossed the gold leaves on a 1" strip of Cherry Cobbler paper layered on top of a 1/8" strip of Gold Foil paper.  I also changed the sentiment to the "Wishing You a Bright & Beautiful Christmas..." from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set.

Christmas Using Blendabilities...

This Christmas Bauble stamp is a great stamp to get started using Stampin' Up!'s Blendabilities.  It is not difficult to think about where the shadowing should be on a round object - the sides, of course!

My Blendabilities journey has certainly evolved since they were first introduced.   When I first got them, I always used the brush side and worked light to dark.  After a few months, I found that I was working dark to light and now, I always use the fine point side!  I find it easier to control where I want the shading and also blending.  How has your Blendabilities use evolved?

Do you like my red button?  Yep, Blendabilities!  Now you can have as many buttons in a particular color - just by coloring them yourself.

Festival of Trees....

Here is a card that we made at a recent workshop using the Festival of Trees stamp set.  Originally I wasn't going to get this stamp set but I really have been having fun making cards using it.  A huge "thank you" to Stampin' Up! for bringing back Endless Wishes this year.  I loved the set last year and was able to get one before they sold out but didn't get to demonstrate it because it was gone so fast.  Now, this year, I get to!  This picture doesn't show the coloring of the star very well but I colored it using the lightest Old Olive Blendabilities and it matches up with the Pear Pizzazz really well.  The pearls were colored using the medium Coastal Cabana Blendabilities.
