Tippin' on Tuesday - A Shortcut for Cutting with Framelits and Thinlets

Today I begin a new series of blog posts called Tippin' on Tuesday.  Today's Tippin' on Tuesday is a shortcut for stamping and cutting out multiple framelits at the same time.  Enjoy!

Today is Your Last Day to Get This Stamp Set for Free!

Can you believe today is the last day for Sale-A-Bration this year?  It is the most wonderful time of the year - well, at least stampin' wise!  This card was inspired by BK Cards.  The cool part is that you can place all of your lace stamps onto one block and stamp them at one time.  Then just drop down and stamp again until you fill the Whisper White piece of card stock.  Then choose your colors and a sponge and sponge in lines.  The border is cut from the So Detailed dies and stamped with the So in Love stamp set.  A TIP FOR YOU:  Stamp your sentiment first.  Then stamp the frame around it.  Finally, cut it out.  This way you get it all lined up perfectly!  A lace doily, some Very Vanilla ribbon and one of the Sending Love embellishments finishes off the card.  I snipped a little opening on the die cut to feed the ribbon through on one end.  The other end was open and allowed the ribbon to go through.

Oh my gosh, it is time!  I am back and committed to sharing my love of Stampin' Up! with you.  As you may notice, my blog has changed a bit and over the next few weeks you will begin to see new ways that I will be sharing with you.  How about a Tippin' on Tuesday?  What's that?  Tippin' on Tuesday will be a video posted each Tuesday with a tip, trick or technique.  Do you love that?  How about a Fast & Fabulous Friday?  Besides the fact that it is Friday, this video will show you a quick & easy card you can make over the weekend.

This designer series paper has retired but there are a number of current papers that would work really well with this stamp set including Irresistibly Floral, Affectionately Yours and Moroccan designer series papers.

Making Snow Angels....

 When looking for inspiration for a card at a recent Christmas Card Buffet, I found this adorable card from Michelle Zindorf of the little eskimo making snow angels.  So cute!  Of course, I didn't want to duplicate Michelle's wonderful card exactly so I gave it the old "Cathy spin".  To make a template for your snow angel, just stamp the eskimo onto a piece of window sheet/acetate and draw where you want the angel wings and legs to expand out to.  Then just cut that out and use a sponge to ink the area on your card.
