Cool Shadow Technique.....

Here is a card that I found from over a year ago but the Traveler stamp set is still available so I thought I would show it to you.  The sentiments are retired - sorry!  This card was inspired by one from Deb Valder using the shadow technique where you stamp an image onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Basic Gray and stamp it again on a Window Sheet using Black StazOn.  You layer these together with Dimensionals and offset them just a little bit so you see the depth between the two images.  Super cool effect and so easy!

Sale-A-Bration is Here! Get this Set While You Can!

Have you received your Sale-A-Bration and Occasions catalogs yet?  No?  Well, get crackin' and email me and I will get them out to you!  Better yet, you should get over to my online store and place your order for at least $50 so you can get this stamp set before it is gone!  That's right - gone.  This set is yours for free with a $50+ order only until February 15.  After then, Stampin' Up! will have some other cool things for you to choose from but if you want this one and you try and order after February 15, it won't be available - so sad!  So get it now!!!!

On this card, I took the Traveler stamp set and stamped the luggage and train in Early Espresso ink and the ship and globe in Night of Navy Ink directly onto the World Traveler embossing folder making sure that the ink did not get in the depressed areas.  I then placed a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in the folder and ran it through the Big Shot.  A bit of sponging using Soft Suede ink brought out the detail of the map.  I then stamped the airplane on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out using my Scan N Cut.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink and was punched using the Banner Triple Punch.

All Aboard!

Wouldn't you just love to grab one of these tickets and be able to use it to climb on that luxury liner for a two week cruise through the Caribbean?  I would.  Oh how a girl can dream!  This card was inspired by a card made by KVSquires on Splitcoaststampers.  She used the train from this very versatile set but I had a loftier dream of setting sail for warm waters.  What is your dream and can you make it into a card?
I love this sentiment for a birthday, don't you?  Our family survives on sarcasm and this sentiment is perfect for any one of them.
