Gift Card Holders, Part Four.....

Here's our final gift card holder that we made at the class.  A huge "thank you" to the women who came up with these gift card holders which I found via Pinterest and Splitcoaststampers.  I am not clever enough to come up with them myself but I am great at CASEing!!!
To make this gift card holder, you need to start out with a piece of cardstock that is 4" x 11" piece of cardstock.  You will need to score it at 4", 5 1/2" & 7".  Fold it in half and then fold along the other two score lines so you have a small tab inside the 4"x4" card.   Where the two folds meet on the bottom, you will want to put a single strip of Sticky Strip to hold it together.  Then take a gift card and mark the two sides of the tab.  Use the Word Window punch to create an opening in the tab to insert the gift card into.  Then stamp the inside piece and place a ribbon vertically on the patterned paper that will go on the front.

For the lid, take a 4 1/4" x 4" strip of cardstock.  Score and fold it in half so you have a 2" x 4 1/4" top.  The bow is made using the Lattice Die and was attached to the front with a glitter brad at the very top of the lid.  A ribbon was then wrapped around the patterned paper and was attached to hide the rest of the Lattice pieces.  A tag was wrapped around the brad using the baker's twine.

Here's what you will need to duplicate this card:
Stamps:       Tags Til Christmas & Ornament Keepsakes
Inks:            Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green & Basic Black (inks & markers)
Paper:         Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Gumball Green and Be of Good Cheer
                    Designer Series Paper
Other:        Lattice Die, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Cherry Cobbler Baker's
Twine, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Glitter Brad

Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set...

Here's the final card from my recent Christmas card class.  It uses several products that I haven't used much in the past so it was really fun.

Here's what you will need to make this card:
  • Crumb Cake and Whisper White cardstock
  • White Vellum paper
  • Brushed Gold cardstock
  • Crumb Cake and Early Espresso classic ink
  • Ornament Keepsakes, En Francais and More Merry Messages stamp sets
  • Scallop Border punch
  • Crumb Cake Seam Binding ribbon
  • Lacy Brocade embossing folder
  • Ornaments framelits
  • Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint
  • Jumbo Pearl
Here's the inside of the card which was stamped with Crumb Cake ink for the ornament and Early Espresso for the sentiment.  On the front of the card, "Christmas Blessings" was stamped in Early Espresso as well.  Stamping on the brushed gold papre makes the ink a little lighter but has a really cool iridescent look to it.

Here Comes Christmas....

Doesn't it seem that Christmas is coming to the retail stores earlier and earlier every year?  I sure think so.  I saw Christmas items out before Halloween!  Of course, I can't really complain since I held my annual Christmas Card Class in October this year.  With being gone for a couple weeks in November, I had to plan ahead.
Were you there?  If not, why not?  We had a great time and everyone got an early start on their Christmas cards.  Here's the first of five cards that everyone made.  Everyone was able to choose how many of sets they wanted to make.  Most made 2 or 3 sets, leaving with 10 or 15 cards made but my cousin ordered 20 kits!  That's right - 100 cards!  Unfortunately she wasn't able to attend the class and has to make her cards over Thanksgiving.
I want to say "thank you" to a very talented artist on Splitcoaststampers for this card which I CASE'd.

Here's what you will need to make this card:
  • Midnight Muse, Whisper White & Baja Breeze cardstock
  • Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Baja Breeze classic ink
  • Ornament Keepsakes and More Merry Messages stamp sets
  • Ornament Framelits
  • Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon
  • 1" Circle punch
  • Festive & Essentials Paper Piercing Packs
  • Rhinestones
Here's the inside of the card.  If you want to make this card, the only recommendation I would make is that you do the piercing for the ornament in the center of the front of the card and stamp "Merry Christmas" before stamping the small ornaments.  This helps with making sure you locate them where they look best.
