Technique Tuesday - Block Shadow Stamping....

Have you been missing the Technique Tuesdays?  If so, they are back!  Today's technique is a quick one and on top of that, it can save you money!  No more buying shadow stamps with this technique!  The technique is called Block Shadow Stamping and here's how it is done --
 Here's what you need:
  • Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Pad (I used Crumb Cake)
  • Acrylic Block (I used Stampin' Up!'s Block B)
  • Cardstock (I used Whisper White)
Take your block and ink up one side of the block.  I rub it back and forth to pick up the ink real well and then tap it once to get rid of any streaking of the ink.
Stamp onto your cardstock.  Be careful not to slide the block.
Here I have stamped it four times on the cardstock.  You can see how they make great shadow boxes.
Here's my card that I made with this technique.  The supplies I used to make the card are:
  • Whisper White cardstock for the card
  • Marina Mist cardstock and First Edition DSP for the background
  • Soft Suede 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon
  • Antique Brads
  • Nature Walk stamp set
  • Always Artichoke and Whisper White cardstock for the image and matting.
  • Inks:  Marina Mist, Red Riding Hood, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
